FAQ
How is the value of my 1 minute calculated?
Your annual salary is divided by total annual work hours (annual work days × daily hours) to get your hourly rate, then divided by 60 for your per-minute rate. The after-tax amount applies an estimated effective tax rate (including social insurance + income tax) based on your salary bracket.
How accurate is the after-tax amount?
It uses an estimated effective tax rate (10.5%–27%) based on salary bracket. Your actual take-home pay varies depending on dependents, tax-exempt items, etc. For a precise calculation, use the Net Salary Calculator.
How is the default 250 annual work days determined?
Starting from 365 days, minus weekends (104 days), public holidays (~15 days), and annual leave (~15 days) gives roughly 230–250 days. The default 250 reflects a typical salaried worker who takes little leave.
Isn't 52 hours per week illegal?
The Labor Standards Act caps weekly hours at 52, but many workers do work this much under flat-rate overtime or flexible schedules. Enter your actual hours for the most accurate result.
Is the Starbucks price of ₩5,000 accurate?
It is rounded from the 2026 Starbucks Americano Tall size price (₩4,700). Actual prices vary by menu item and size.
Can freelancers or self-employed people use this?
Yes — just enter your total annual income in the salary field. Note that the tax rate is based on employment income, so actual rates may differ for business income.
